Sramik.org

Sramik.org follows a long-term, phased civic plan to protect workers’ rights, dignity, and safety in Bangladesh. This planning framework is grounded in the Constitution of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, particularly Article 7(1), which affirms that sovereignty belongs to the people.

The approach is peaceful, lawful, non-political, and focused on sustainable impact rather than short-term reaction.

Phase 1: Worker Registration and Safe Participation

A nationwide, voluntary, and secure worker registration process will be established to build an authentic worker-based network across all sectors. The registration system will be designed to protect privacy and minimise risk, allowing workers to participate without fear of political pressure, retaliation, or exposure.

Phase 2: Rights Awareness and Constitutional Education

Registered workers will receive accessible information and guidance on: Constitutional rights, Labour rights and protections, Fundamental human rights.

Educational content will be presented in clear, practical language so workers can understand their rights and respond lawfully to injustice.

Phase 3: Peaceful and Lawful Worker Unity

Sramik.org will promote unity among workers through peaceful, lawful, and non-violent means, strictly avoiding political agendas or partisan influence. The goal is to build collective strength based on rights, dignity, and mutual support—not confrontation or coercion.

Phase 4: Protection and Documentation Framework

A confidential and secure system will be developed to allow workers to document cases of: Exploitation and wage injustice, Unsafe working conditions, Harassment, intimidation, or retaliation

This documentation will support civic protection, rights advocacy, and lawful remedies, without exposing workers to unnecessary risk.

Phase 5: Democratic Worker Leadership Development

Leadership at national and district levels will be formed exclusively from within the worker community through transparent and democratic digital voting. Leadership terms will be limited, ensuring accountability, renewal, and prevention of power concentration.

Phase 6: Coordination with National Civic Platforms

Sramik.org will coordinate with other civic initiatives under the Jatiya.org framework to address broader worker needs, including youth engagement, employment pathways, skills development
